Holiday Party Looks

Tis the season for work Christmas do's, New Years parties, and family get-togethers. Essentially, tis the season to be social, and also to dress up fancy! When we think Christmas-appropriate party-wear, we think sequin tops and sparkly playsuits (the ones that moult everywhere). I have a few other ideas here to get you in the party spirit that include crimbo colours and sassy satins.

Our first look plays with a little flirty number I found in Topshop with a jacquard snake print on satin and a cute tie front. I've teamed this with a pair of matching kitten heels I bought for a few pounds on eBay. These are honestly my favourite shoes of the moment, the harsh square toe and the shiny snake effect screams crimbo party and gives us a nod to the 90's. The bold red-on-red might be a little too much for any other time of year, but if you want to make a statement, Christmas is definitely the time to do it! Go on, wear the dress, do it!

For a bit of warmth, I've teamed this look with a vintage green and cream mohair cardigan that i've cinched in at the waist with a red belt from Mango, just in case there wasn't quite enough red in this look! I love how this cardigan clashes with the dress in the best kind of way.

Is it obvious I'm obsessed with all things satin? We have another look here that is effectively head to toe shine. It's just a great texture to sass up an outfit ready for your night out. This beautiful pink shirt was an absolute steal from Salvation Army, and as I have said before, always check your local thrift store for shirts before heading to the high street, there are so many bargains to be had! This cost me a total of £3.99! I've teamed the pastel pink with a snake print satin skirt from Zara which is the perfect match! This skirt also has a little slit for extra Christmas sassiness! I've popped on some statement earrings and a vintage bag in browns to tie this look together with the browns in the midi skirt. Now add some gloss and you're office party ready, just don't go snogging Keith from accounts now!
